Hazelnut Crop Update

Our team is ready for a great crop at the processing plant. Hazelnuts are being packed and shipped as fast as they are coming in. A couple of things we are seeing with the raw nuts; the moisture has been higher than last year, and the kernel fill is much better. Last year the moisture prior to drying was about 7% lower. This will make for a great processing year since we can maximize the yield going into our value-added products and into the retail stores.
