Celebrating the hard work of over 1,000 employees is a focus this December

Mt. Angel, OR, Dec. 17, 2021 – Wilco just announced that they will be adding $137 to every employees paycheck today as one of the many ways to show gratitude to their steadfast workforce. This modest bonus adds to a series of others already given over the last month as a thank you for their work this year, and to celebrate 10 consecutive years as a top workplace, which was awarded to the farmer-owned cooperative in September. Wilco was one of only four companies to receive this recognition from employees for ten consecutive years, and is the only large employer (more than 500 employees) to get the award 10 years in a row, from the Oregonian/Oregonlive recognition. Wilco employees will also get a profit sharing bonus early next year once 2021 is completed and the financial results are fully audited.

In addition to the Christmas bonus delivered in paychecks today, the over 1,000 Wilco employees received a Wilco Columbia down vest, $100 Wilco gift card, a holiday tin filled with Oregon hazelnuts, and a cookbook that features recipes from Wilco employees. “A Cooperative Sharing, Appetizing Eats” is a collaborative recipe collection created by Wilco to highlight their team.

“We’re very proud of our dedicated employees, and grateful to our resilient workforce that succeeded as essential workers during the pandemic, all while providing steady customer service during a challenging time,” said Sam Bugarsky, President & CEO of Wilco. “They deserve an extra pat on the back as we close out a historically busy retail season.”
